About The Guitar Shoppe...
The Guitar Shoppe, est. 1972 is independently owned and operated since 1972. The Shoppe is located one block from the Pacific Ocean in beautiful Laguna Beach, California. It has been our goal for over FIFTY years to serve the needs of guitar players in every capacity - from the beginning student to the professional.
Our services include providing a broad selection of instruments, equipment and supplies, access to professional teachers who teach every style from folk to jazz, a complete workshop employing the area’s finest repairmen for everything from restringing to full restorations, We provide service for beginners as well as professional players all over the world.
Customers frequently comment on how "comfortable" and "at home" they feel in our store. Many people refer to The Guitar Shoppe as "Guitar Heaven" and a "Pro-shop for Guitarists". Since we’re all guitar players ourselves, we think so too, and work hard to keep it that way. Laughter, music, fun, guitar lessons and fine craftmanship all rolled together to create a second home for those who were looking for more than just a new set of strings or a peg winder.

We understand how important it is for our customers to have a full selection of instruments so we carry the finest name brands in all price ranges: Acoustic steel string, fine classicals, electric guitars, amplifiers, basses and folk instruments ranging from beginner models all the way up to the finest boutique and vintage instruments.
Our repair shop will set up every guitar before getting on the sales floor and has built a reputation on quality repair and service. We will always provide peace of mind when you purchase a guitar from us or have one repaired. We are an authorized service center for many major manufacturers. In fact, most of the local music stores refer their repair customers to us, too! Our motto is "We Can Fix Anything". We’re not kidding.
