The condition is very good with no major dings but has some scratches here and there. For being 56 years old it's looking pretty good! The pickguard was replaced because of the common curling that eventually happens to these 70's Martins. Also, thew tuning machines were switched to Schallers decades ago, so we replaced them with Grover Rotomatics which are the correct tuners for this guitar. You can barely see the footprint from the previous tuners. The frets are original and have plenty of life left. This D-35 has never had a neck reset and it doesn't need one. Plenty of saddle left! The tone is exceptional! Over the years, we've had lots of early 70's D-35s come through The Shoppe and this is one of the best examples. Unbelievable tone! Includes the time period correct hardshell case.
