This preowned 2008 Fall Limited Edition Taylor GS Cocobolo is a stunning Grand Symphony acoustic that combines boutique-level tonewoods with Taylor’s signature craftsmanship and balanced voicing. Built before the widespread use of the Builder’s Edition or V-Class bracing, this model still showcases the bold, articulate projection that made the GS body style a standout when it was introduced in 2006.
In fall 2008, Taylor released a special Fall Limited Edition series featuring exotic tonewoods: Hawaiian koa and Mexican cocobolo. The Cocobolo GS swaps the usual pairing—offering highly figured cocobolo back and sides with contrasting koa binding and a koa mini-wedge running through the back. This model features a Sitka spruce top braced with Adirondack spruce CV bracing, which Taylor describes as adding elasticity, richness, and dynamic response across the tonal spectrum .
