New Arrival!

1973 Fender Stratocaster with a professional refinished body in sonic blue! Such a cool guitar!! It's an exceptional strat that weighs 8.8 lbs. Plenty of life on the frets and plays great! The original bridge pickup went out some time ago and was replaced by an original 1973 Fender Strat bridge pickup. It includes the tremolo bar and the original hardshell case.

This 1973 Fender Stratocaster represents a transitional era for Fender, blending vintage features from the ‘60s with the evolving aesthetics and construction methods of the CBS era. While often overshadowed by earlier pre-CBS models, a ‘73 Strat still offers undeniable character—both visually and sonically—and has earned its own cult following for its bold tonal profile, weighty resonance, and unique playability.

With its unmistakable contours and a sound that defined decades of music, the 1973 Stratocaster is a vibrant expression of early-’70s Fender craftsmanship.
    •    Body: Contoured solid alder with the iconic double-cutaway shape. The neck profile is a medium C with a 7.25” radius and a skunk stripe on maple-board versions.
    •    Pickups: Three single-coil pickups with grey bottom bobbins and staggered pole pieces. These pickups deliver bright, glassy highs, scooped mids, and a slightly hotter output than earlier ’60s models—ideal for funk, blues, and classic rock. 1973 was still wired for a 3-way switch but the original switch was swapped for a 5 way.
    •    Electronics: Standard Stratocaster layout—master volume, two tone controls (neck and middle), and a 3-way selector switch. Pot codes and wiring layouts from 1973 are commonly CTS with correct date stamps.
    •    Bridge: Fender’s synchronized tremolo system with a cast zinc block and bent-steel saddles, offering vintage-style vibrato and tuning flexibility.
    •    Tuners: Fender “F” style sealed tuners with stamped logos, providing solid stability for the era.
    •    Other Features: 3-bolt Micro-Tilt neck plate introduced in 1971 remains standard here, allowing for fine-tuned neck angle adjustments. The neck heel still carries the bullet truss rod nut at the headstock, giving it that unmistakable ’70s Strat look.
